11th Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Walk has been REIMAGINED
October 3rd would have been our 11th annual Play for P.I.N.K. Walk!
It is with great sadness and out of an abundance of caution that we have decided to cancel and reimagine our October 3rd Play for P.I.N.K. Walk due to the implications of COVID-19.
Medical research has never been more crucial. While developing a vaccine to eradicate COVID-19 is obviously top of minds now, finding the cure for breast cancer remains the focus of PFP and the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF). BCRF is Play for P.I.N.K.’s sole beneficiary. Last year alone, Play for P.I.N.K. donated $4.9 million dollars to this wonderful cause. This year, with the cancellation of many PFP events across the country, achieving this target to keep this valuable research on track will be a big challenge.
Because our goal is to raise money for this vital cause, we are hoping you would still consider donating to Play for P.I.N.K. at a level that feels comfortable for you. We also encourage you to walk independently (you choose your time) on October 3rd to further show your support for this worthy cause – don’t forget to wear your PINK T-SHIRT AND YOUR MASK & SOCIAL DISTANCE!
IMPORTANT THINGS TO REMEMBER: there will be no gathering either in or outside of the clubhouse on October 3rd and there is no specific time to walk. There will not be a ribbon cutting ceremony and no collecting of checks, so please donate on this website.
Your donation goes directly to Play for P.I.N.K. and is 100% tax deductible. As we know, research is the only way to find a cure.
