Since 2002, we have gathered at the Challenge of the Americas Competition for a singular purpose: to advance the world’s most promising breast cancer research. It is with great sadness that we have decided to cancel this year’s event.
Research has never been more important. While eradicating COVID-19 is top of mind, Play for P.I.N.K. (PFP) remains steadfast in its efforts to help end breast cancer through its sole beneficiary, the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF). The cumulative generosity of $1.5 million from the equestrian community over the past 17 events has been essential to furthering BCRF’s mission.
Even though we cannot be together in person, we hope you will join us and show your commitment to this cause at this challenging time. The only thing keeping us from a cancer-free tomorrow is funding and your support is needed now more than ever.
The Challenge of the Americas will be back next year, but we need the assistance of our loyal dressage friends today to sustain vital progress. The Challenge’s Committee members have pledged their support and we urge you to join them.
Thanks to you, we are fueling groundbreaking science that will bring more precise diagnostic tools, personalized treatments, and targeted therapies to patients, faster. Despite undeniable progress, our work is not nearly done – we still lose more than 42,000 lives to metastatic disease each year.
You play a critical role in moving research forward. The end of breast cancer is on the horizon and it will be research, and research alone, that will get us there.
